What is the Difference between dating and boyfriend/girlfriend?

Dating is when you aren't exclusive with each other, you date other people. Being someone's boyfriend or girlfriend you are supposed to see know one but each other. You'll just have to make him clarify whether he wants you and only you or not at all.
