Little help here? Guys preferably but open to anyone?

Okay here's the scenario. There's two good friends (a guy and girl). They've been friends for a long time and obviously care about each other. One day the guy tell the girl he's tired of being friends because he wants more than friendship. But he doesn't want committment. Girl doesn't know what to do. She realizes she has feelings for him too but doesn't like the no committment. She doesn't want to lose him though. So what exactly does the guy want or see her as? She doesn't want to be used.
